Gave my 2-week notice today!

I gave my notice today! They actually took it really well, wished me the best and told me that it was a good choice to "move up" from LTC/subacute to a rehab hospital. Even though my time there has not been all rainbows and butterflies, I kept it professional and simply told them that this was a career move and that's it. They told me I was welcome back any time since I'm leaving on good terms, and thanked me for providing ample notice.

I was so so nervous going in there to give my notice..every other time I've had to quit a job it's been for school or for my first nursing job, so this was a very different experience.

I start at my new job at the end of June. In the meantime I have to juggle the pre-employment requirements at the new job and the responsibilities of the old job!
