Pulled some meds for my patient....a bunch of BP meds, one of which was for 0.3 of clonidine. Im thinking, "hmmmm...that seems like a lot." Double checked the chart, and the order was for colchicine. Thank god I didnt give the clonidine.
This job makes me a nervous wreck sometimes!

yikes.
sounds like a pharmacy error to begin with - was it a new order? if not, i wonder if clonidine was given the day before.....

I have seen klonopin and clonidine verbally confused before too.
