CNA State Board Test

Nurses General Nursing

Hello all, I'm new to this site. I joined because I have a question that I can't find the answer to, I'm hoping you all could help..

I recently finished my CNA class end of January. We were given applications to fill out and send to take the state board test. I filled out my application, sent my fee, copy of certification and everything required. My test is March 12. (next weekend) I sent my application back in February. How do I know if I was accepted? Or do I just show up at the test site? I haven't gotten a letter back or anything, but then again, I don't know if you're supposed to..

I need help :(

Call the people you sent it to. I assume it was your state's board of nursing? Most every board has a website where they list contact information.

I received a letter about a month before my test..u should definitely call your state BON.

If your state contracts out their CNA testing, the BON will refer you to an outside agency. But, either way, definitely follow through to find out what's up. You probably should have already received a post card with your testing date, time, location and other details.

How did you know your exam schedule? Did you get a "Nurse aide Admission to Test Letter" from Prometric?

Normally, after sending the application/registration form to Prometric along with the fee an applicant will receive a Prometric Nurse Aide Admission to Test Letter within a week. This letter contains info re: the date, time and testing site. This letter will also serve as the permit to take the CNA Test. The applicant should bring this letter on the exam date, present it to the proctor plus two IDs. You will not be allowed to take the test without this letter.

Call the PROMETRIC and make a follow-up. GOOD LUCK!!
