I'm just starting nursing school at the end of this month and found out we have to take the California Critical Thinking Exam during orientation. Does anybody know anything about it? Is it multiple choice, essay, short answer? I can't find information on this anywhere. Thanks!

Type in CRITICAL THINKING to find an example of the testing.

Critical thinking is a means of making sure that you are able to study and learn on a college level. There are many HS grads who have no idea how to organize their thoughts on paper. They can't prioritize events.

Good luck.

The California Critical Thinking test is a multiple choice test. It was given to my class in the first and fourth semesters. We were told that it measures how well we are taught to critically think and the questions had absolutely nothing to do with the nursing curriculum. We had just over an hour to complete as many questions as we could, and there isn't anything that you can study to prepare you for it.

Thanks to both of you. It helps to have an idea of what they're talking about. This sounds similar to the exams my A&P instructor gave. Thanks again for you help.:)
