ASHI BLS/ACLS - accepted at most hospitals?

Does anyone know whether ASHI certification is accepted as being equivalent to AHA certification?

I'm in the job market, and have just been told that the ASHI ACLS and BLS certifications I received through my hospital may not be accepted elsewhere.

I had ASHI certifications in both and when I got hired at the hospital I'm at now they said they wouldn't take it and I had to go do both through the AHA. They said even though ASHI goes by AHA guidelines, they still want it through AHA. So... save yourself the money (unlike what happened to me) and just go through AHA in the beginning. It is preferred.

Thanks for the feedback. It's already a done deal - I've taken both courses and been certified. It was paid for by my employer, so at least it didn't come out of my own pocket.
