I have a close friend that has been dx with "antiphospholipidemia syndrome". The only info I have is that it is a rare clotting disorder. I've searched the net, but haven't had much luck. Anyone have any ideas or info...?

Thanks so much.

I have been dx'd with antiphosopholipid antibodies, as far as it relates to infertility issues and recurrent miscarraige. The treatment depends on which antibody is abnormal.

that was very helpful, thank you:mad: ! after looking at that site i redirected my search with "antiphospholipid syndrome". here's what i came up with...it is an autoimmune disorder that can be primary or secondary to such conditions as lupus. the body produces antibodies to it's own plasma proteins or phospholipids and makes blood clots. which is what was found in both lower lobes of my friends lungs. here's the site in case you'd like to take a look antiphospholipid syndrome. and, again, thanks for the reply!
