What are your favorite meals/snacks for work?

Hi friends! I am a relatively new nurse. Now that I'm starting to get my feet under me at work, I'm turning my attention toward being more healthy. It's hard - sometimes I can't eat until 11 hrs into my shift and then I pig out when I'm home. I want to start packing multiple clean and healthy snacks/meals that I can eat throughout my shift....instead of the cookies and candy that's always lurking around the breakroom!

So I'd love to know - what clean, healthy filling snacks and meals work for you? Also what is a good packable breakfast I could have to keep me filled up in the morning? Thank you!!

Mini sweet peppers, carrots, celery, yogurt cups. My mainstays for 18 years!

Pure Protein bars were my go-to meal.

Naked juices, drinkable yogurts, hard boiled eggs, good quality chips with guacamole or hummus.

Yogurt, cheese sticks, pretzels and easy packable fruit, bananas, oranges and apples are perfect to go snacks for me. Already packaged!

I second the boiled eggs, I cook a bunch of them at once and they are always in the fridge ready to go.

Apple sauce, jello, pretzels, little packets of nut blend/trail mix - Trader Joes makes really good ones, smoothie every once in a while, poweraid, and granola bars.

fat free Greek yogurt sweetened with stevia and frozen berries, hard boiled eggs, cheese sticks, fresh fruit, muffin made with almond flour (I use Bob's Red Mill "magically moist almond cake" recipe in a cupcake pan; I use Splenda instead of sugar to cut the carbs more).

For my main meal, I usually pack easily heated leftovers like lasagna, Thai-style curry, this really yummy cheeseburger hotdish I make, chili, Korean BBQ, homemade or single-serve microwavable soup, an omelette, etc.

Salad, bananas, yogurt, avocados, apples, clementines, nuts...

Hard boiled eggs, protein shake, fruits...salad in a jar, just add dressing shake and eat. Kept me going while in my MSN program and busy days in the ED.

I bring nonfat yogurt, fruits, protein bar, granola bar, avocado cut in half and put in ziplock bag. I scoop out avocado with a spoon and just it it like that. Some veggies like baby carrots, cherry tomatoes, nuts, mozarella stick cheese, and a scoop of protein that i later mix at work. Thats pretty much everything i bring with me everyday. I snack a lot.

Triple Zero Yogurt, Easy Guac cups with carrots, GNC and SlimFast high protein/low carb shakes, any kind of fruit that's already cut up, Planter's Heart Healthy Nuts, cottage cheese doubles...
