Transfer RN License from Michigan To Florida

U.S.A. Florida

Is this the correct application for transfering license to Florida:

I am currently in Michigan and noted the link for Livescan Fingerprinting is only for Florida livescan providers. I assume I can get my fingerprints in Michigan and sent to FLorida, where can I locate these providers? And what is the process?

How long have some of you waited to get your licenses transferred?

Thanks!

Yes, I believe that is the correct application. Your local law enforcement agency can complete the fingerprints. Use caution and make sure they use the cards required by Florida (apparently there are more than one type of finger print card). I did not, and I had to redo it and postpone my application because of it. It did not take long to get my Florida license, but understand it is not a "transfer." You will hold a nursing license for both Michigan and Florida (I've had this for 2 years now). I think in total it was 4 weeks from the time I mailed all the correct paperwork to them to the time I received the license.

Good luck!

Received my Florida Nursing License approx 2weeks after sending in the paperwork! Now to sell the house and find a job...

Looking at the Venice area. I am a Certified Rehabilitation Regestered Nurse; what hospitals in the area (along the gulf, Sarasota, Venice, Englewood) have inpatient rehab units. I was thinking about starting as a seasonal nurse, any experiences?

It took about a month. I didn't have to mail anything in. Everything was electronic, including CEUs and fingerprints (which I got done by finding a FieldPrint satellite.) Good luck!
