Transfer RN License from Michigan To Florida
Received my Florida Nursing License approx 2weeks after sending in the paperwork! Now to sell the house and find a job... Looking at the Venice area. I am a Certified Rehabilitation Regestered Nurse; what hospitals in the area (along the gulf, Sarasota, Venice, Englewood) have inpatient rehab units. I was thinking about starting as a seasonal nurse, any experiences?

Transfer RN License from Michigan To Florida
Is this the correct application for transfering license to Florida: http://www.doh.state.fl.us/mqa/nursing/ap_endorsement-RN-LPN.pdf I am currently in Michigan and noted the link for Livescan Fingerprinting is only for Florida livescan providers. I assume I can get my fingerprints in Michigan and sent to FLorida, where can I locate these providers? And what is the process? How long have some of you waited to get your licenses transferred? Thanks!

APA format generators...What do you recommend?
I will be starting an MSN program in the next few months and I heard that I better get my APA formatting skills together. I used a program in nursing school years ago that did the dirty work and made life easier but I can't remember what program i used:down:. I am pretty sure it was an APA generator. So I ask: What APA format generator would you recommend?

Moving to Northport, Port Charlotte Area
Hello FL nurses. I know this is an old post, I was hoping to glean some info. I am planning a move down to the area (Port Charlotte, Sarasota) from Michigan in the summer '12. What is the job outlook for an RN with 5yrs experience? What is the pay scale, and shift differnetials, extra pay for weekends? What is the name of the hospital you are all working, and what are your impressions? Any info/advice is greatly appreciated. Currently in my area the pay is $21.50 for new grad. Can't wait for the Florida sun!:) Good luck to you in your careers!

Night shift nurses
On first day after working a stretch of nights I try to reset my sleep pattern by waking up after 4or5 hrs of sleep and going to bed at a normal time that night, 12 or 1am. The first day off after working a string of nights I always feel like I am in a "haze" so don't operate heavy equipment. I worked 12hr nights for 3yrs(7a-7p) and that seemed to work best for me. Grouping the days into 3 days on and 3 off. Currently I am working 8hr nights 7on/7off.
