South Florida RN salary???

I am in need of some advices. My husband and I are thinking about moving to Florida from NY upstate. We're thinking about West palm beach, Fort Lauderdale, not sure exactly but somewhere near this cities. I would like to know the salary for nurses in this area and any other info that may be important, like patient ratio, night/weekend differential pay. I have been a nurse for 6 years. I got 3 years of ER experience and I speak Spanish. Thanks :)

I live in the ft. Lauderdale area and I make 38.20 in the ICU. I get $5 differential for nights, and 3.75 for weekend differential. I have been a RN for 15 years. Our ratio for ICU is 2:1. With 6 years of experience, you're probably looking at 27-29/HR

Thanks for the info, actually that doesn't sound to bad, I thought it was more like 20 dollars per hour í ½í¸© But night/ weekend differential sounds good. In the hospital I work for we get 2.50/hr per night and a bonus if you work certain amount of weekends in a period of 3 to 6 month. I'm not sure because I work every other weekend and I never got it lol. I have also been looking at houses and they are expensive and the HOA fee í ¾í´‘ Is crazy. Do they pay more if you do per diem?? Thanks

Yes, my hospital pays about $37/ HR for per diem. But you don't get differentials with per diem.

I am in the the exact area u r moving too. I would say the average hourly rate is around $30 an hour for your experience. I am also an ER nurse

Nurse pt ratio in ER. Just depends on which hospital you decide to work at. Where I am it is 5:1. And it doesn't matter if the critical or not you're getting five patients. Some places will tell u 4:1. But they lie and u have 7:1. Let me know if u have other questions and u can email me [emoji4][emoji4]
