Looking for future study buddies :yeah:

Hello and welcome to the site. I moved your thread to the FL Nursing Programs forum where I think you will get more responses.

thanks so much!

Just turned in my letter the other day! I was pleasantly surprised when I received it since I was previously told I'd be starting at August 2012 at the earliest.

I was snooping around to see if I could find some sort of template of what I could expect for starting in the Summer, but only the Fall and Spring routes are available. I know orientation is just around the corner, but it feels like it's taking forever with all the anticipation that's building up! :lol2:

Hi GetReady! I just got my letter for May 2012 Paramedic to RN program acceptance. I assume you are either LPN or EMT-P with start date of May? PM me anytime, and I will share my contact info with you. Take care and I will see you at the orientation! Lina.

Hi lutefisk, are you also starting in May 2012 (LPN or EMT-P to RN) ? Would love to start a list of future school mates! PM me for contact info. Lina.

Hey guys!!

Thanks for posting!

I am super excited about finally being able to start the program (I have been waiting forever it seems like) I have a couple of friends that are already in the program (and, oh boy, have I heard some stories) and have already started my immunization check list and did CPR cert. a couple of weeks ago. Again, let me reiterate how EXCITED I am, haha :lol2:

In reply to me being from the LPN or Paramedic program, that is a no...

but, I totally look forward to studying with you anyways!

Hey Lina! It's good to see other people getting the chance to start the program this May as well!

Unfortunately, I won't be in either the LPN or EMT-P to RN programs. 8( It seems like they're doing something new this year and starting a third normal RN class for this summer. (at least, that's what I'm assuming)

Of course, I don't mind being added to your list if you still want!

I've pretty much got my immunizations checked over too, though CPR cert is another thing. :lol2: Also, I'm a complete outsider looking in, so all I've heard about these 'stories' is the fact that they even exist. Still, it just seems like another hurdle we have to cross in order to get farther in our careers...

Anyway, I'd PM you about contact info and such (since it's looking good that we'll be seeing each other often), but it looks like I need to get 15 posts in before that can even be an option. haha Guess I know what I'll be doing tonight...

Hi everyone, I will be going straight into the second year of nursing ( paramedic to rn) so I am not sure if any of our classes will cross, or if we will be able to help each other. But please feel free to contact me anytime you have a question or just want to chat. Also, please like our page on Facebook: Pensacola State College Nursing Students or Pensacola State College Paramedic to RN Students. Lina.

Lina: thanks, good luck in the program!

Lutefisk: definitely, lets exchange info (when we reach the post requirements)

BTW, when you were going over your immunization info, did you have any help from an advisor or did you just reference the handbook online?

Hey did you got the email for the online orientation?

I have been looking for more info to have an idea of the class scheduled.
