Live in Jacksonville, FL- anyone applying for FNP online programs for spring 2014?

I live in Jacksonville, and have applied to Georgetown University and University of Cincinnati for their online FNP MSN programs. Just curious if anyone else around here may have been applying too.

Talked to adviser from GU today, said they are behind on decisions/pending decisions and if you were told 2-3 wks (like i was) it may be more liked 5-7 wks to get a decision...guess I'll quit hitting that refresh button now! =)

Well a delay in decisions is good then. It means no denial!;) I am sure they are just processing all of the applicants for January. I was told that the January and September Cohorts were usually the biggest and therefore take longer.

I had my Welcome call with my student support advisor today. I was so impressed. She went over everything. Even things I hadn't even thought of yet. She is definitely on top of things. If the support is this good throughout the program then I will definitely be impressed. I really love the 2GU platform that they use. It is definitely user friendly and interactive. The only problem I have had so far is my student login isn't working. It could be that I didn't write down the password correctly.:woot: (very possible) but the my advisor took care of it and requested a reset with me on the phone. Keep me posted! I would love to have someone in the area to talk with.

that sounds amazing, I'm so glad your call went well! I too was told that Jan and Sept were the largest application pools (which maybe is a good thing I want May as it might not be as competitive! =) I hope at least) That is true that at least i'm not technically denied yet LOL. I did find out that Simmons college is using the same 2GU platform for their school (of course named something else for their college) and I applied there as well. Either way I really want the full time 18mo program the most due to my financial aid I have to use. It would be nice to have someone nearby going through the same thing as me LOL. Will totally keep in touch and when you start give me some heads up to the program! =)

Totally panic stricken...got on the GU MyAccess page and under application summary it says Decision: "please contact admissions office" so I called my adviser who said I should know by monday either way...UGGGHHHH have no idea if this is a GOOD sign or a BAD one =(

I tried to PM you but I can't yet. :no: Did you call the admissions office??? I got the same thing on my application summary also! So hopefully that is a Great thing!!! My admissions counselor called me first though and then I received an email.
