FSCJ vs. Jacksonville University

U.S.A. Florida

I would like to know which one is better? I have heard several people state they would hire or want to be a FSCJ student over a Jacksonville University student. I know the cost with JU is up there and I understand different methods & ways of teaching the students, but with FSCJ you come out as an RN with your associates as with, JU one comes out in the same amount of time with their bachelors. Any insight on the matter would help.

If you've done no pre-reqs then FSCJ is faster. If you've done some pre-reqs then it really depends. JU will give you a 4 year degree. It's rather selective and very very expensive. FSCJ has a very transparent selection process. You generate x points.. the one with the most points wins.

You can get a 4 year fscj degree now but you grad a ASN, work a year, then go back for BSN. 16 months at fscj will get you up and moving probably the cheapest and fastest. Do you want a BSN or just a job?

I took some courses towards my BSN at JU. It was an awesome experience. Many hospitals are preferring BSN grads so it may not be a bad idea to go straight for it. You have to decide based on your circumstances no one knows what that is but you. Good luck and best wishes ! ! !:)

The good news is that FSCJ will soon be offering a BSN program also. I think we will be able to go straight through once it is up and rolling. The cost is way better than JU, so hopefully it will be ready when I graduate next semester.
