Erwin (TAMPA, FL) Feb 2013 Class? Anyone?!

So, I just passed my TEAS V this past weekend (8/25/12) on the first go round. The instructor who administered the test stated that you'd have to make at least 60% to apply for the LPN program... I scored within the 91st percentile ( I got an overall score of 72% -- so be not discouraged!), and I'm super estactic...:w00t:

She also stated that there wasn't a wait list (I know I read this a couple places, and I've have people look at me dumbfounded when I said I was doing the LPN program at Erwin) for some reason there is a rumor going around about a wait list. There is NO WAIT LIST!! :nono: Just pass both the TABE and the TEAS and you are allowed to apply for the next available class.. There is no lottery; first come with their test scores the first to be admitted; plain and simple.

SO, I'm can't wait for orientation in October and I can't wait to get started come February. I just wanted to see how many other people were trying to get into the Feb 2013 (Day) class.. Some people who tested with me on Saturday were still trying to get into the August 2012 (Night) class and still needed passing TEAS scores, so it seems that even though people are assuming there's a wait list, students are STILL trying to get into the August class at such late notice... (THE OPENINGS ARE THERE PEOPLE!!)

Now, that I think about it, maybe people are lying and saying there's a wait list and a lottery, to deter people from coming and applying! LoL :lol2:

I am also applying for the Feb 2013 class and I found out yesterday I passed the TEAS! :) I'm so happy and ready for October. But before February I will be starting the Sept 10 CNA class. They told me that is the first part of the Lpn class so I won't have to start exactly on February...I'm very excited!

Hmm.... a CNA class? Is it being held at Erwin? If so how long is it? How much?... I'd love to do that to get a head start!

The class I'm taking is starting Sept 10th, and there is one Sept 11, they are both evenings ,3 months long. The class is at Erwin but our clinicals are at Lakeside. I'm not sure if it will be the same with the day class. The next openings they have are Oct 8th (2months long/day ). Then they have 2 January openings. Tuition is 442, registration is 115, and the costs for books and supplies are separate. I qualified for a federal grant that paid for my tuition at least. But I can use my pell grant for the Lpn course.
