Hey! Just thought I start a topic if anybody is applying for Fall program to Chamberlain. I've just took my HESI A2 today and barely passed it with 81%. I have a gpa of 3.75 and my advisor told me to just wait for the call around next week but I feel like I should take the HESI again to get a higher score. I'll wait till next week to see if I get in. Fingers crossed.

If you're applying to Chamberlain or planning to attend, join the chat maybe we can become study partners. :)

I am hoping to start the in the Fall. I am going tomorrow to speak with financial aid then go from there. I have already taken the HESI through SJRSC and have prerequisites through them as well. I had to take the HESI twice since I missed the reading comprehension by 1%. I score an 83.3% the second time and 92% in math. My G.P.A. is a 2.86...that I'll be raising as soon as I start. LOL. After f.a. my next step is getting all of my transcripts. Everything looks promising.

That's great. How did everything go with them? I'm still waiting patiently on them to call me to get started on the next step. I have my prerequisites as well so maybe we might be in the same classes. They gave an estimated graduation date of September 2016.

Given your rather high GPA, why is "Chamberlain College of Nursing- Jacksonville"? Their Tuition is much higher than the Community Colleges or State Universities in the area. I'm curious why that particular school, since with your GPA, you should be able to get into most of the schools in the Jacksonville area whose Tuition & Fees should be ~3X less than Chamberlain.

I love the fast paced programs. I want to be complete as quickly as possible and I have GI bill so I don't pay for it. :)

@csmuffin I got your message but I cannot reply. I need to get in all of my transcripts before they submit my application to the committee. Other than that, everything looks good. I would finish everything by Feb. 2017. They had told me that the cost for my credit hrs would be 430.00 instead of 665.00 because my husband had served in the military. Come to find out, I have to get a hold of the V.A. to find out information on that. The only thing I could find on their website is I would only qualify if my husband is either dead or disabled. Go figure. He has submitted an application for disability but that may end up being a while before he hears anything. It kind of put me back a bit with them not being totally upfront about it to begin with. But it is what it is. Just a minor glitch.

Have you heard from them about getting into the program?

You should be able to submit those documents about him waiting on disability.

My advisor called me on Tuesday that the board approved my application and the only thing I have left now is my drug/background check. I have to get it done today. My orientation day is 21st August 10am-2pm. Hope everything works out for you and I'll see you for orientation. :)

Just received a phone call a little while ago. I got accepted! I have to go speak with financial aid again. Then do the drug and background screening.

Yea that's great. Let me know what day you choose for Orientation.

Sure will. I'll keep you updated!

I just signed up to start Chamberlain this September. I have never done an online program so I hope it is something I will be able to do.

I took some online classes at SJRSC. It wasn't too bad once you get use to the layout of things. They use "blackboard". Not sure what kind of program Chamberlain uses. My advice, is once you can get in and take a look at the online stuff, take the time to learn to navigate it. It'll make it easier. Good luck.
