I know there is a lot of confusion going around with the new requirements for the BC nursing program so I wanted to start a thread for those of us finishing prerequisites and applying in January. I'm in the Core class now, but other than that I'm finished with everything else and getting very excited to start next year!
Check these out. Really good price and comfortable. My aunt is a nurse and loves these.

I tried those on didn't like them. Again everyone's foot is different.
Where is everyone finding the list of items we need? I see people buying shoes, watches, stethoscopes, pen lights, bandage scissors, etc didn't know how they knew to buy all this before meeting
Also a bit nervous because I've heard of a few people dropping out of the program. Makes me wonder how difficult it is.
I've found the items we need on one of the professors websites, can't say who because we're not allowed to use names here. Basically it states you need a stethoscope, pen light, bandage scissors, all white leather shoes, and a watch with a second hand. As for the campus, I've heard north is best and most helpful but really no matter where you go you get out of it what you put into it. If you try hard, you're going to succeed no matter what campus you go to.
Well I got my shoes- I went with the Doves and bought inserts for them. Not sure which Dansko's u bought but those were heavy. Did not put on a pair where I was like Oooooh. So we shall see. These are light and like I said the inserts feel nice.[/quote']You know you are right, I tried them around the house today and I have to say they are pretty heavy. I'm probably going to be bringing them back and go with the Doves too. Plus I know nursemates are school approved and are half the price too. What inserts did you end up getting?

Would you be able to PM me the professor and website you were looking at so I could get a jump start on the supplies.

They are originally $124, but if you sign up to receive coupons and provide your email you get
10% off and it comes out to $114. I know they're pricey and I'm one to conserve but when it comes to good shoes when I'm going to be on my feet all day I splurge. The sales lady recommended them and wears them all day. She said that after being on her feet all day nothing hurts! I've heard the same from other people. I personally think they are cuter than the nurse mates and look like they'll be easy to take care of.
