A littman, or littman wannabe(as long as it has vinyl tubing) Latex tubing transmits too much environmental noise, such as you would find in an ambulance, or helicopter.

Not quite sure what your asking. Buy any scope you want. No one is going to use a scope in the helicopter (you can't hear anything but engine) unless you have a electronic one attached to your head set or helmet.

I have a basic lipincott stetho-it works one for the ED where I am an RN and one for prehospital. What ever works for you. You need to be able to hear. Your choice=

I like the Littmanns. Most all of their models are really good. I have a Cardiology III (I think that's the model anyway) that I have used for almost 15 years. I have misplaced it several times, and so far it's always found its way back home.

It depends on your hearing as to what you need. You can hear sounds for BP with almost any scope. My hearing is not the best, so I have trouble with breath sounds when using one of the cheaper Sprague-type scopes that are furnished where I work.

I recently ordered a Littmann STC as a gift to myself for finishing nursing school. I've heard good things about them, but have not used one personally yet.
