by VLC Aug 26, '03Hello everyone,
I'm hoping to get some information about flight services in and around Denver/Colorado Springs area. I am flying in Northern Texas now but will be relocating to Colorado next month (it will be nice to fly over some mountains for a change). Names and web sites would be a great start.
Thanks

- Sep 4, '03 by TraumaNurseThe mountains can be nauseating to fly over with all the air turbulants. I had flown with Lifeguard in NM and we did many flights into CO. As for the colorado programs, check out www.flightweb.com. Under "links" you will find almost all the flight programs and most have websites.

- Dec 11, '03 by kc ccurnHi, glad to hear you're coming to Denver! The two main flight programs in the Denver area are AirLife out of Swedish Medical Center, Level I trauma hospital and Flight For Life out of St. Anthony's, also a level I. you can look up their web sites AirLife at www.healthonejobs.com or FFL at www.stanthonyhosp.org.
I think FFL also flies down at Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs, they also have a crew for CCT (critical care transport) in Summit County (Frisco is in the mountains near Breckenridge ski resort).
Steamboat Springs CO (absolutely the most beautiful place you'll ever ski) flies fixed wing over the mountains (bumpy!). AirLife and FFL have both rotor and fixed and CCT. They both fly the CO/WY/NE/KS areas.
Positions are kinda tight though. If you are in colorado by now and have more questions, you can email me, I work ICU at Swedish.
