Waiting time from graduation to taking NCLEX

Hi,

Is there anybody can tell me how long does it take to sit for NCLEX from the time last class is done.

I'm going to an ADN program, the last class of the semester is supposed to end in the middle of May. I'm wondering if it is possible for the students to take NCLEX at the end of May? If not possible, then generally how long is the wait?

Thanks

Depends on how long that it takes for your state to get your final transcripts to the BON for your state. Usually, the average time is at least about one month to six weeks out.

I don't know what state you're in, but here in Kentucky, the new regulations require everyone after Jan 1, 2006 to work for 120 hrs in a preceptorship after graduation before they can take NCLEX. Graduates will be called RNA (RN Applicants) until that time.
