I know theres another "Fall 2017" thread for LPCH, but it seemed like it was for the April cohort instead. So heres a new thread for those who applied to the fall Sept 2017 cohort at LPCH!

There was word going around that they wouldn't have a cohort this season due to the new hospital, but I guess they decided to have one anyways. Let's keep each other updated with anything we hear from them (:

Awesome! Thank you for the update :)

Does anyone know if they happen to do Skype interviews for those who applied out of state?

Thank you so much for making this page!! I applied for L&D too :)

Does anyone's application status say "consider for future" yet? Mine does not, but I'm just curious.

Mine does not either. I don't think it would? From what I've seen, I've never actually had an application status update from any of the new grad programs I applied to, even if I got an interview with them or was rejected.

@mrkcs

Knowing Stanford, I don't think they would do a Skype interview. From the new grad interviews I've received, I've all asked if Skype was an option and it was always a hard no. They said it was especially because it was a new grad residency that they would not be allowing video interviews. But who knows, maybe they might!

Chocolatebuns, BSN, RN it has been the same for me as well, but LPCH is different. When the recruiter goes through applications initially, if they are interested in you, they click something to tag your application and it changes your status to "consider for future". They then go back through the flagged applications and weed through those to decide who they want to call for an interview. So "consider for future" doesn't necessarily mean you will get an interview, but it means you passed the first selection process of applicants :)

Ah I see, I did not know that, thanks for the info! So does not getting "consider for future" mean you did not get past that first round and will not be moving on? (Assuming others have been receiving it already)

Yes, to my understanding. But I think it's taking them a long time to get through applications, so we definitely shouldn't be worried yet!

Received an email this morning stating that the hiring team showed interest in my application and to respond within 48 hours and confirm availability to interview during selected dates in August. Don't think it 100% guarantees an interview because it mentioned that if I'm selected to interview, I'd get a notification the week of August 7th. Also, my application status still says submitted.

Awesome! What units did you apply for Peds_new_grad and Twalker171?
