LPN to RN, Hoping to start soon!

Nursing Students Excelsior

Published

I've read the recent posts regarding this same topic, but maybe I can drag some more opinions out of the wood work! I can't do a traditional college, as I have a young daughter at home during the day and I work full time at night, this is my ONLY option to become a RN in a reasonable amount of time. I fully believe that I can finish this program before I would even be able to begin going to a local college! So, this is my ONLY HOPE!

Tell me everything! How was it? How much was it (I am starting from scratch, I have ZERO credits to transfer)? How were clinicals? Did the program give you enough information as far as what to expect at clinicals? Are there some clinical sites that are better than others? I can't think of anything else right now, I am a self-starter, hard worker, and very dedicated when I set my mind to something, so I'm not too worried about that part. Just looking to hear about some different experiences!

Thank you in advance!

Also, if anyone wants to start this month, I hope to be registered by May 2nd, and you just *happen* to be in south florida, let me know!

Please understand that there are no clinicals, but there is a clinical exam. I encourage you to read the nursing catalog section that pertains to the ADN program. Here are some articles that might be helpful:

I meant the 3 day clinical exam, when I said clinicals. I should have changed my wording.

Thank you for the links! They're great!
