I'm finally on my road to being a LPN to RN!

Nursing Students Excelsior

Published

Hello Everyone,

I am an LPN and about to start the LPN-RN program at Excelsior. I'm currently studying for A&P and plan to test out in January 2014. Everything in my life is alligned right now for me to be successful and I am going to give it my all. The only thing missing is a support system of other students. So here I am. If you are currently enrolled or about to start or even finished the LPN-RN program, I would love to connect with you and hear about your experiences. How much time do you devote to studying daily? How was your experience testing out of Anatomy and Physiology? I'm using the excelsior outline as well as studygroup101 and Vangonotes and so far so good! Any feedback and encouragement is appreciated. RNorBust!

I took my first exam 3 weeks ago. It was "Transition to RN role" To be honest, I've studied only for 3 days - applied for exam 6 months before and eligibility period was about to expire :banghead: Anyways, got C, but I doubt I could get more because those chapters with all those abandoned theories and names was like history to me... At least I got over with it.

I used Lisa Arends' notes and the Excelsior questions that I bought on their website. Quizlet has also a lot of flashcards with information that I have seen on the exam.

Life Span 1 is next, I do not plan to spend more than 10 days on that one and will combine the book with Q-banks... I might try studygroup 101, never heard for that source before I saw this thread ;)
