Hi! Anyone apply to the DNP program for fall 2014 at the University of Florida?

Hi! I applied for UF's DNP Peds Primary Care NP program! I was told decisions will be sent out late April/ early May. Which specialty did you apply for?

I applied for the family track. I'm tempted to call..... But I'm sure ill get the same answer.

Specializes in Postpartum.

I applied for midwifery. When I asked, I was also told end of April/May, possibly as late as June. The gentleman I spoke with said they were undergoing some staffing changes and that it was affecting the selection process.

I heard from them this week as well. They said they were estimating end of May for decisions. They're killing me! Lol!

I don't know if my nerves can take waiting that long!!

Same for me. I was told late May but will be out of the country for volunteer medical outreach from mid-May until mid-June. But, the wait will be worth it :) I applied to the Acute Care Peds NP track. I prefer to work in the hospital setting for now. I prefer the spaciousness and pace. I like being able to get a lot of walking in during the day because if I were in a more confined space, I'd get drowsy. I like to keep moving around and seeing new/rare diagnosis. I'm excited for each of you. I hope that we all get it. Good luck everyone

Late May? Eeek! Guess I should probably stop checking my email every 5 minutes!

Lol. Yeah, I've definitely slowed down my trips to the po box!

Specializes in Postpartum.

I was obsessively checking my phone for email in the first few weeks after I submitted my application. And then I starting checking the post office twice a day. I eventually emailed and got a rough idea of when I might hear something....now I just stress/freak out in my head every two or three hours :D.

Anyone apply for neonatal NP?

Wow, late may?! My last correspondence with UF indicated late April/early May!! I don't know if I can live with this much anxiety until then!!!

Anyway, a little bit of my peace of mind has come from the fact that after poking around some, I was able to log in to ISIS and under current academic program it says I am majoring in DNP, and when I get to degree audit - it has a listing of courses I need to fulfill. Might be wishful thinking, but it looks pretty good to me!! I'm UCF alumni, so I figure I wouldnt even be in the system if I was denied. Anyone else see these things?
