How can one become a dialysis tech? I am working my way towards a RN degree (2006), and I think that getting some exposure to dialysis as a tech might be worth pursuing.
Suggestions?

Just apply. They will probably hire you. For techs, it's on the job training.
Good luck.

Depends on the company hiring you. At mine, a tech goes to classroom education and training anywhere from 4-6 weeks (paid), depending on previous medical experience. It is quite indepth.
After that you go on the floor where you are precepted and learn to apply what you've been taught.
Try to find a smaller unit... less stressful ! Good luck to you. :)
