Hey everybody,

I've found this forum a couple weeks ago and decided to register to be a part of your community.

I'm a male nurse from Germany working in a trauma ICU at a big teaching hospital in Munich.

I'm 25 years old and recently doing a on the job training to become a ICU practitioner.

I would love to work in the US one day and just can't wait to be a part of this awesome community.

Matt

He was stationed at Ramstein from before I was born; I was born at the Landstuhl Army Regional Medical Ctr, and we lived in Kaiserslautern with a German family, in their upstairs apartment. We moved back to the States when I was a toddler, and then back to Germany; this time at Spangdahlem AFB, and we lived in Gransdorf. My parents were all about REALLY living in Germany, so they never used on-base housing. I do wish they would have sent us to German schools though, as my German would have gotten much better than it was. Oh well. Yes, I'm in the US now. My dad retired when I was 12, so we moved back. I have nothing but fond memories of my childhood in Germany! :)

Hi Matt,

Guten Tag!

My name is Mark, Filipino nurse, 25 y/o also working as Trauma ICU nurse in Benghazi, Libya.

I'm really interested to work in Germany. It's one of the best places for nurses to work. I'm curious, How was your work experience there? And, what usually the common cases you have encountered in your hospital?

After I finish my contract, I'm planning to work there in Germany but before that I need to learn German language for it is one of the important requirements working in German Hospitals.

Hoping for your feedback.

Thanks,

Mark

Hey there.

First things first. Germany is definetly not the best place for a nurse to work at. I mean not even close. What makes you wanna move here so bad?

Now I'm intrigued. Coming from a Nurse in German and a naturally born-German, I was surprised. How come you say that? I have a friend working in Uniklinikum Tubingen for like 3 months now and so far she's enjoying her work experience and stay there. I've seen photos of places she'd been to and it was nice. She's working and at the same time studying German language which is paid by her employer. Because of that it makes me wanna move there.
