Paying for it???

U.S.A. Colorado

Just wondering, for those who have gotten accepted or are in the process of applying...basically anyone who will run out of federal loans and really doesn't have family to co-sign for private loans. If there are other options out there to pay for nursing school? Any luck with schlorships etc?? Thanks!

This is my first degree, so I will be OK when it comes to gov't loans, but I wanted to let you know that scholarships are available.

First thing you should do is check with your school. I received a 1000/semester scholarship when I transferred into my university because of my GPA, and another 500/semester because I belong to Phi Theta Kappa. My school has a universal scholarship application that applies to something like 26 different ones they offer, I happened to receive one of those last month. My nursing class was also sent forms to fill out for two more scholarships, but since they were needs based I knew I would not get those, so didn't apply to them.

In total, my scholarships pay for just over 1/4 of my tuition.

Are you a boy?
