Help Find Shoes Please

U.S.A. Colorado

Published

I begin to school Jan 31st. I need nursing shoes white. Laurel Uniforms has like 3 pair and nothing in my size. Who has a good supply of nursing type shoes in the Denver area? There is NOTHING in the yellow pages about this. I would love to find Nurse Mates, they have some neat styles. I also have big feet... size 10.5 and 11! Can anyone help? Thank you. Any help much appreciated!

Have you tried zappos.com? I haven't looked at their nursing shoes, but they do have a huge selection and shipping (and returns) are free. It's also very easy because if the shoes don't fit you can download a shipping label so all you have to do is drop them off.

Hi...Thanks

No I haven't tried any on line stores because I am really hard to fit and I would like to be able to a couple of styles to pick the most comfortable pair. I'm afraid that I would have to order several pair before I ever found a pair that I can wear.

I have found only 3 stores in the Denver metro area that carry any Nursing shoes: Laurel Uniforms... they had 4 styles and and only about 3 pairs of each in really small sizes; Scrubs Select ...same thing, and and a store named Scrubs ...same deal. I have been to those 3 stores.

I have been calling in the yellow pages all day and no luck. With all of the hospitals and medical facilities in this city, you would think some would sell a nice line of shoes for health care workers. There probably is somewhere that does, but it's probably advertised by word of mouth.

Are you here in this area Hypnotic nurse? If you are, I have a zillion things that I would love to have more info on? Thanks again! :)

Not sure about their selection, but there's a shoe store called Dardanos on Colorado Blvd (at about Florida). I've heard that they also offer a 15% discount for nursing students.

I think you might have better luck with a place like Dardano's, that is a specialty shoe shop. I got a pair of Dansko clogs at the Walking Company myself. The people in these shops tend to be pretty good at sizing and getting you what you need.

Hope that helps!

Thank you SO MUCH! I appreciate you reply, and will try Dardanos.

Next goal ... find a good selection of uniforms. I moved here from St. Louis, MO. St. Louis had some stores with a lot more in shoes and uniforms. Used to go with my Mom. Laurels doesn't offer much compared to what I expected to find.

Have you ever seen Nurse Mate Shoes here anywhere? Where do you think the best selection of uniforms are in Denver? Do you know of anything in Colorado Springs?
