Testing and skills Test ?

im going to take my cna test and im wondering if i have to do the skills testing as well ? im in school for lvn & i graduate on the 13th do i still have to do the skills test or just the written ??

Hi. I don't know where you're from, but in Michigan we had to pass the skills portion of the test before we were even allowed to take the written portion. If we failed the skills test, we could not proceed with the written test, we had to reschedule to take the test again. Good luck to you. And congrats on your upcoming graduation.

Congratulations !! I live in North Carolina & I just finished the CNA course in December. I will take both the written & skills tests this coming Saturday. I guess it just depends on the state you are from. I however wish we did it like Michigan & Texas and did the skills portion 1st before proceeding onto the written exam.

I agree! NC stinks because we have to take the written and then wait up to hours before the skills.

exactly....i am scheduled to take my written at 8 a.m., the skills between 1-4 p.m. ( not even a definite time ).

it would be a lot less pressure if it was the other way around.

That would stink. It was enough stress waiting for my turn to take the skills test and then waiting for the proctor to input the information into the computer to give me the print-out telling me that I passed and could take the written part. I then breathed a sigh of relief and walked into the next room to take the written part. After that point I was very relaxed, I was confident in my ability on the written portion of the exam. You will do well. Try to relax and picture yourself doing each skill successfully. Good luck!
