STETHOSCOPE ORUCE (where OH where)

Hello everyone

I was hoping someone could give me some advice as to where I can buy a certain type

of a stethoscope. I'm about to start CNA class and the syllabus is saying

for additional materials to buy, is a Oruce stethoscope, which all I'm seeing online is a Littmann stethoscope, nothing about Oruce brand.

Any information would be appreciated.

I looked on Amazon, cause that's where I bought mine but I didn't see any of the Oruce brand. I wonder why they are making their students buy a particular brand. Mine is a Prestige pink stethoscope with matching bp cuff, (I'm all about the matching pink and it's a darn good one, too!), and it works better than a lot of the standard black ones at the nursing home I did my cna clinicals at. I would ask your instructor if it would be all right to buy a different brand, I mean, as long as it meets the specs I don't see a problem. What would happen if the company that makes the Oruce stethoscope went under and no longer manufactured them? Maybe your instructor knows where to find them or will let you buy a different, yet regulation-worthy, stethoscope. It would be like someone preferring one generic brand of soda over another when both taste pretty much the same if they are both cola, etc. Anyway, sorry I couldn't help.
