State exam tomorrow!!!

Nursing Students CNA/MA

Published

I'm so nervous. I know all my skills but I always mess up when I'm getting tested. We will be performing the skills on our class mates and I'm bad with acting like the class mate is my resident. I hope it will be over soon and I won't have to wait too long. I also hope that I will be lucky and get the easy skills.

Do I have to do the opening procedure everytime I start a new skill? For example, I brush the residents teeth and then I have to walk him? And also....I can put the laundry bag at the foot of the bed or the chair but what about the plastic/trash bag? Can I leave it on the floor?

I'm coming up with all those questions now :p. It always happens when I get nervous. I hope the RC person will be nice

Still........can you pray for me please ............

That's awesome. Congratulations!

I Have a similar problem. In two weeks I'm challenging the CNA course by testing out of it since I'm a medical assistant. They said there is a written component as well as a procedure test that I will have to perform. I'm wondering what these procedures will be. if anyone has any advice or insite on the procedures that I will have to do I would really appreciate it. thank you

Hope you did well... I will be in your boat in a few weeks. I am so freaked that I won't pass for some stupid reason. The problem is.... I am actually recertifing. In 1996 I got my CNA the first time. No big deal passed no problems. Wasn't nervous whatever. But I let my cert lap for like 8 years so I had to start over as this is a pre-req for the RN program I want.
