Please HELP!! I want to challenge the Florida CNA test.

Okay so I'm looking for any and all information on challenging the CNA test in Florida. I took the whole course and everything in high school, but since the license was only good for two years (and I got it in 10th grade) I couldn't find a job. Not to mention going to school five days a week then working overnights on the weekends was not a great idea. Anyways, I need to know where I can find information on challenging the test. I would like to know how much it'll cost, what forms I have to fill out, etc. Any and all help is appreciated!! TIA =)

With the new year upon us, there are many changes involved with the test, specifically with the testing fees. Since they have increased from when I took the test last year, I am unsure of the total cost, you'll find that info on Prometric.

As far as study guides, what I used was the clinical skills checklist that you will find on the website, I printed it out, and I watched the youtube channel 4yourCNA, it was a tremendous help, if you follow her series, and commit the clinical skills checklist to memory, you will pass with flying colors! :)

I am also challenging in Florida. Hopefully within 60 days. The cost is $140. You fill out the application and pay the fee, they send you the background package, you get it done and send it back, they run the background checks and if you pass they send you your test date at the facility you chose on the test. Prometric told me Friday they are seating for testing about 21 days out once the background checks are done. Hope that helps. I did notice if you do the application online none of the facilities listed on the PDF are on the drop down menu for the online application. I had to fax mine.

The youtube channel 4yourCNA is a great help, as stated before. I took a 3 week, 120hour bootcamp before moving to FL (120 hour course was required where I came from), then I watched the videos to refresh, challenged, and succeeded. It's not tough and don't be nervous.
