First Cna interview

Nursing Students CNA/MA

Published

I had my first CNA job interview yesterday and I think I did pretty good. I was so glad that I took the time to prepare myself by googling the type of questions that they may ask. Boy did they have a lot of questions lol. The only question that had me stumped was what was my least favorite part of my CNA class, I honestly couldn't think of anything!! Nothing about the class bothered me, idk if that was a good or bad thing. They will be making calls Monday to those who got the job, I am hoping and praying for the best.

Thank you!! Yes putting my 2 weeks notice in lol.

I got got my results right after each part. After I did my skills they gave me my results and then after my written they gave me those. Try not to be nervous, make sure you read through the skills checklist, and read through the frequently missed checkpoints. They both were on the prometric website

I'm rewriting the check list as we speak. That's how I memorize. I have been doing so many index cards lol. You would think I'm studying for my doctorate degree or something!

Heyy! I passed!!

Ok now get it girl!! Lol

how was it? What skills did you have?

Congratulations!

Ugh I was so nervous. I know I messed up a couple of times. It wasn't as strict as they have made it seem. I had prom right shoulder and I just realized I did te left shoulder. Omg. :roflmao: Horrible. I'm glad I passed. And I had urinary drainage and catheter care.

Oh ok well I know you are relieved that's over....now it's time to find a job!! And don't be discouraged if u don't get calls right away, it took a month after my state to get a interview. Good luck

Thank you! I already got my first interview!! Did you start yet?

Ok that's good make sure you prepare yourself and I start June 9.

Oh ok. What kind of questions did they ask you?

They asked a lot of questions! Lol what I did to prepare was google Cna interview questions and wrote down my answers to alot of the questions. These are some of the ? They asked me.

Why did you want to become a Cna?

what characteristics make a good CNA?

What was my least favorite part of my Cna class?

why should they choose me over someone who has more experience?

what would I do if a resident fell?

they also asked questions pertaining to my current laundromat job,

how did I handle a angry customer?

Tell a time where I wished I had handled a situation better?

Ugh I hate interview questions. I do have to prepare myself. What documentation did you take? She didn't tell me much over the phone. I'm assuming I need obv id ss I guess a copy showing I passed my exam I know they usually ask for a physical I'm having a hard time getting my hands on a copy. Do you think it would be ok if I didn't take it that day?

I just brought my cna license ID social security card.... And they don't need a physical until they offer u the job
