CNA schools in NY??

Nursing Students CNA/MA

Published

Does anyone know of any decent schools in NY (Long Island or Queens area preferably) that offer CNA/nursing assistant programs, such as a 2-week course, or a challenge course? I looked in the paper, but I'm not sure which schools are reputable. Also, if there's a school that costs little or covers tution in exchange for working, I'd be interested in that as well. Thanks in advance.

manhattan institute .www.manhattaninstitute.com (located in manhattan but it may help)new york medical career trainingwww.nymedtraining.com (cheapest) , and a few community colleges like york, laguardia cc (on their website go to continuing education). these run about $700 to $1000. maybe pricey but keep looking online for something inexpensive. look at a few assisted living facilities that do free or low cost training. i myself am looking for training still that i feel comfortable with. these programs are about 4 weeks btwn 9 a.m and 5p.m or evening classes as well. two weeks seem too short. oh yeah look around on here for reviews on these places. good luck

If your looking for CNA training in long island look into Access Careers. It's located in Hempstead. I just finished and passed my board there about 2 weeks ago. Class meets mon-thrus 3 hours a day for a little over a month. Afterwards your required a 30 hour externship (clinicals) and can regsiter for the state board. I really liked it! hope this helps

I just graduated from the manhattan institute. I took their CNA course, and it was excellent!!! This is their website address in case you are interested: www.Manhattaninstitute.com
