CNA II OR MED TECH?

Nursing Students CNA/MA

I'm trying to figure out to take my cna a step further, so I can get better pay and focused on school more, because at the end of my shift. I'm super tired. I was thinking..a telementry tech, dialysis tech or cna 2 or med tech. I love interacting with patients. But the work at my nursing home is way too much and I'm falling behind in my classes..which is more beneficial and can you explain why ? thanks so much! ALSO, cnas that went to cna2 how much more did your pay increase?

I skipped over the NA job, and went straight from NA class to a PCT course. I start my hospital job next monday! Whoo hoo! I'm also in school full time. I will be working in a teaching hospital, and what is good about that is that they encourage learning and there is tuition reimbursement. There are two courses I want to take within a month of working there, to be IV certified and medication certified. Any education you get, be it med aide, dialysis, etc will help you in the long run. I loved working at a SNF, tho what I really wanted was to work in a hospital. Just continue your education, learn all you can, opportunities will always come your way (and yes the pay is better) Good luck!!!
