Are there any CNA's out there who work in Peds or OB?

I would really prefer to work in Peds or OB, but I don't know if CNA's actually work in those departments or not. Does anyone know?

And if there are those of you who do work in those departments, what is your normal day like?

I work at a pediatric facility...we mostly care for developmentally disabled children and young adults, but sometimes have pediatric rehab residents, too. Would something like that interest you, or are you only interested in hospital pediatrics?

I wish I did but in my experience pediatrics is hard to get into because everyone wants to do it. I am aware that CNA do work there, though; my little cousin had a stroke last year and ended up in PICU for a while. There were no techs there, but when he moved to general peds, there were CNA.

I'm interested mainly in hospital pediatrics, but then again I don't know much about pediatric facilities like you mentioned. What's wrong with the rehab patients and what do you do for them?

Yeah that makes sense...Hope your cousin is ok now. Thanks for the info.
