Chamberlain FNP MSN program Jan 2014 Start

Nursing Students Chamberlain College

Hi folks,

Anyone else starting CCN FNP program in January?? Would like to make some connections!

Thanks!

I got my BSN from UTA. I also live in the DFW area I am in my fourth class so far I picked chamberlains because they have one class at a time for eight weeks at the time.when I started UtA they did not have one class at a time but now they do still prefer chamberlains. UTA admissions process is slow it aggravated me waiting chamberlains in admission process is faster which I really appreciate it at that time. And I love that every eight weeks for each classes versus at Uta some of of their classes are five weeks and 10weeks.I hope that helps

I got my BSN through UTA as well :) but you said now they offer one class a time but would that even qualify for financial aid..and I would go ahead and assume that will be out of the 24 month finishing time frame as well?

How are the classes structured at Chamberlain? UTA's admission process is driving me crazy with the long wait times. UTA's FNP program has changed to 28 months with taking two classes at a time and 3-3 1/2 years for the part time track.

No you would not qualify for financial aid and also the program is three years.and that was my two main reason for deciding to go to chamberlains versus UTA.

Hi Dallas 1,

How is Chamberlain's classes structures? How do you like taking one class at a time?

I like chamberlains so far I'm a very active mom with three children and work full-time, so the one class every eight weeks is great.i'm in my fourth class now, And it only takes 2.5 yrs to complete.

Thank you for the update. I have two small children and work full-time.

Yeah you are absolutely right Chamberlain is the best way to go overall!! Thank you for your input!

I am applying at Chamberlain and Maryville for the fall of 2015 FNP program. I have already been accepted to Maryville, but before I decide I was hoping for some comparisons. I was told Chamberlain has no group work and no required logins. I am wondering also how does the testing work? I know at Vanderbilt they have auditors that watch you while you test. I understand not wanting people to cheat but the idea of trying to concentrate while a stranger stares at me is a little unnerving. Any advice or knowledge would be much appreciated!

Are there any nurses starting the FNP program in March?

Hi Dallas 1,

How does the Chamberlain program compare to the UTA program?

i received my BSN from UTA but I'm considering starting at Chamberlain. I would appreciate any help.

I am in Dallas, in path and pharm for March session, looking for somebody to go to immersion in June, I will graduate in April, 2015. Have many preceptors lined up already......please email: [email protected] for more details.

Hi, I saw your post and wanted to ask if you started with Chamberlain -- I'm also in Miami and I'm seriously considering their FNP program. I would greatly appreciate if you could share your experiences/thoughts about the program and if you'd recommend it. Thanks! Ted
