Nursing Students Chamberlain College

Published

Has anyone attended or is currently attending Chamberlain College of Nursing in Atlanta? If so, how is it? Any info would be greatly appreciated. I am currently attending a technical college and have done all of my pre requisites except for the sciences. My gpa is 3.40. I just found out about this school and I am very interested... thanks.

I just finished taking patho 1 online and ended up with a B+ on the exams other area's was A but they calculate more of your exams scores. omg is the hardest class i have ever come across.. IF you taking it on site then be prepare to read 8hours every night because i did the same for online. Most students are taking health assessment, fundamentals and patho don't know how they can managed all these three hard courses. Are you taking yours along with these 2classes?

If any students have any Patho advice I'm all ears! I am going to start reading the book during break, but wanted to know more specifics. Enjoy the break student nurses and new students enjoy your last week of freedom!

I will be starting at the Atlanta campus in May, I am so excited! I know it will be a lot of hard work ahead but it will be worth it in the end!

angelgh , Yes I will be taking ALL 3 of these courses on site! I am a nervous wreck, but I keep telling myself it is only 8 weeks. I have already received the memo on reading-luckily I like to read. I just don't know how I will fit in Fundamentals and Health & Wellness?! Where there's a will there's a way, and this too shall pass! I had a light load last session with 222 and Soc so I wrecken it was only a matter of time before things got tougher, and more of my time would be demanded! So..........just read the chapters and I should be ok? Any other pointers?

Lala81 how was yr adjustment to the school? How are the teachers? Is it difficult to get yr books? Any info would be great!! Does anyone know the start date for Sept?

I had a heavy load last term but they were all online. patho, health and wellness and micro. Almost 80percent of the students takes patho before getting into fundamentals and health assessment. Reviews from the health assessment and fundamentals students says is a lot of work which requires full time studying. Most of them had to quit their jobs because of these hard classes, but i do believe you can do it. Girl Patho isn't a joke on campus even online is tough. Couple of friends couldn't get the minimum of 76% online and same onsite. Is just hard, would be honest with you, but with God on your side you can easily conquer patho as long as you determined. Good luck in all your classes, would be seeing you campus hopefully some day.

Hello everyone! I hope everyone is doing well in their classes and congratulations to all of the new accepted students. I will be taking my HESI on May 23. Really nervous and I have been studying like crazy! Are there any fill in the blank questions?

you should be fine just go with the evolve book and none more.

well i was reading through earlier this evening. I am currently in Virginia arlington campus. la_la 81 pathophysiology in nursing is a class by it self. Am starting Adult health 1 in may. On the curriculum grid they scheduled it along with the two main nursing program. Would advice you take it and reschedule fundamentals and health assessment in September. Health assessment and fundamentals alone was a hell for our entire cohort even without the patho. Students that took all three failed patho so in my opinion don"t piled up these three course on you and regret at the end. Pathophysiology is not easy, we concentrate on that only without any heavy loads. Please do not kill your self, these advisors don't know none about the program they only interested in our money and giving out any schedule. Our instructors even advice not to include patho with any NR classes. One F on your transcript then you at stake. I hope this helps, i mean is up to you but nursing students i know takes Patho without combining any two classes.

Specializes in Hospice.

I plan on attending in September:yes:

wow am glad i took mine before getting into the real deal. Thanx for this information though

It hasn't been easy. I'm not gonna lie after two sessions of back to back papers you get a little burned out. This break couldn't have come at a better time for me! The professors are like any other wherever you go-some are nice and others are very stern. One thing is for sure they all are very passionate about what they teach. Even an "easy" course will not be easy because you will have to "appear" enthused and be involved while in class. Books are everywhere! I'm an Amazon freak and thanks to evolve and my kindle I don't have to purchase too many. I am not sure of the Sep start date, sorry. See you soon-I hope to still have all my hair by then!
