Hi Everyone!

I just thought it was time to see who is out there. I will be one of the folks that has to make the move to Fort Worth. Looking forward to hearing from you all. Lets start compiling a list so we can get in touch before school starts. When are you all starting to look for places to live and what is the best area. I was kind of thinking that I would like to be close to campus because I like to ride my bike instead of the parking nightmare! Look forward to hearing from my future classmates!

Hey TexasCCRN,

How is that phone/contact list coming for the TCU SRNA's?

Count me in. Starting in the Fall.

Hey TexasCCRN,

How is that phone/contact list coming for the TCU SRNA's?

I'll send out what I have...don't have phone #'s, just email so far!

Thank You, Thank You... Not an easy task as you all know but good preparation for the months to come. Planning, that's my goal. Thinking and preparing for anything that would distract me over the next year. As you suggested, getting my finances together, patching my 10 yr old truck to get me through just two more, looking at options to keep a roof over my head, wondering what to do will all my stuff... All with a great big smile on my face because this opportunity is an honor!

One more for Louisiana; Grew up on the West Bank of New Orleans, Three years in the ARMY, Graduate of Nicholls State University, Five years in San Antonio, Four years playing in the mountains of Montana and now crave more than ever to learn the Science of Anesthesia.

Congrats to you two too!! A great idea, to get together and break the ice before class starts, I'm in.

Lived the first 15 years of my life in Thibodaux! I was a colonel fan! Welcome again!

Congratulations to all of you! I am in the Charter Class at TCU and nearing the final practicum for clinicals! I'm sure you are all excited. My advice to all of you...get some rest! You'll need it when class begins, and even more so when clinicals start. I have completed a clinical rotation in El Paso, so if anyone has any questions PM me. The next 28 months of your life are going to be very difficult and trying for you and your families. However, there is a light at the end of the tunnel, and always remember what you are doing is going to be worth it! Again, congratulations and good luck! :p

I am currently in the program just about finishing my 1st year....I would HIGHLY recommend that you look in to graduate housing on campus. They are 2 bedroom apts- almost brand new, 1 block from the Bass building where you will be having class. They are quiet and comparitively cheap to an apartment. You get a 2 bedroom w/all bills paid, even phone, ethernet, and cable w/8HBO's and 6 High Definition Channels if you have an HDTV for $1000. My wife and I rent ours Solely, but I know people in our class who let the grad housing folks know they were single, and they hooked them up w/a roomate in the program. It is worth it to be able to leave at 0855 for a 0900 class, and be able to go home for lunch, or walk to the library in about 3 minutes.....Check into it on the TCU website.....here is the link...http://http://www.rlh.tcu.edu/GSA.HTM Best get your name on the list NOW if interested. Good luck in the program.
