Hi Everyone!
I just thought it was time to see who is out there. I will be one of the folks that has to make the move to Fort Worth. Looking forward to hearing from you all. Lets start compiling a list so we can get in touch before school starts. When are you all starting to look for places to live and what is the best area. I was kind of thinking that I would like to be close to campus because I like to ride my bike instead of the parking nightmare! Look forward to hearing from my future classmates!

Congratulations! I'm sure you are thrilled. I am planning on applying to TCU in about one year. Do you know approximately how many students they accept? Also, I am also curious as to what types of questions they asked on the interview.
I think there will be 61 accepted in the program if I'm not mistaken and 100 at TX Wesleyan. I don't know how many applicants total. The questions were pretty straightforward clinically. I would talk about my clinical history and they would ask questions in that particular area. Nothing was asked that would be considered "trapping" or "that we shouldn't know" as ICU nurses. Make sure you are familiar with hemodynamics. Not just PA and CVP but the ones you would find on a Baxter CCO monitor.

I will be attending TCU in the fall also. I look forward to meeting any of my SRNA classmates before classes begin. Does anyone have any feedback from current students on how the program is going?

A late bloomer but a Frog nevertheless... A year in Fort Worth then a big leap to California for clinicals. I look forward to the adventure!

I want to say congrats as well. Is everyone working hard to pay things off before school or just relaxing until school starts? We will have to get together before school starts. How many people are from Louisiana?
Thank You, Thank You... Not an easy task as you all know but good preparation for the months to come. Planning, that's my goal. Thinking and preparing for anything that would distract me over the next year. As you suggested, getting my finances together, patching my 10 yr old truck to get me through just two more, looking at options to keep a roof over my head, wondering what to do will all my stuff... All with a great big smile on my face because this opportunity is an honor!
One more for Louisiana; Grew up on the West Bank of New Orleans, Three years in the ARMY, Graduate of Nicholls State University, Five years in San Antonio, Four years playing in the mountains of Montana and now crave more than ever to learn the Science of Anesthesia.
Congrats to you two too!! A great idea, to get together and break the ice before class starts, I'm in.
