Just got accepted into TCU's CRNA program starting this fall. Just wanted to touch base with anyone else who will be starting their program as well or who is already in the program.

congradulations, i'm currently in my second semester at tcu, i think you'll be very happy with your decision. we just finished a pretty rough week of tests on monday, so we all went out as a class last night, it's a big commitment, but i think it will be well worth it

so is your class at tcu a pretty close group? occasionally go out together, etc? i've been wondering if being in crna school draws you all together as a group. so far, the responses from my coworkers have been mixed when i tell them about getting into a couple of crna programs. it ranges from being happy for me, to projecting a sense of bitterness towards me because i am getting out of "bedside nursing" and they wish they had sought higher education. At any rate, I look forward to being with a group that will be going through the same thing that i will be. I am extremely nervous :uhoh3:

i have a great class, not everybody hangs out as much as others, some people are married with families and what not, but we all have a lot in common, and i've made some really good friends, its only natural that you feel resentment from some people, some people just aren't glad to see others exede. i'm sure you are nervous, i was too, its a big step, it's a whole new career, but i'm really glad i decided to do it, schools hard, but fort worth is a cool town, tcu is a great school, and i'm getting a good education, if you have any other questions let me know

I just found out today that I got accepted!!! See you in the fall.

Jbro whats up man i thought that was you, It's R. Johnson hollering at you from H town. At work right now, chillen on break, admitted a double valve a few hours ago and taking a breather. Hope school is going great for you. I will be applying to TCU in november of this coming year. I have the same cell # so give me a ring.

congratulations! look forward to meeting you in the fall!

Hulk,

I have also confirmed my intent to attend TCU. I was really impressed by the faculty and Campus. Just a much better feeling at TCU. Can't wait to start and meet all of you.

I agree 100% with you. TCU had a better feel overall for me. I really liked the director at TCU. Can't wait sto start!
I agree 100% with you. TCU actually felt like a university, TWU had the feel of a small, dead JUCO. The director at TCU left Wesleyan to start the new program; I really liked her in the interview. Anybody get clinicals at John Peter Smith in Fort Worth?

Congrats! I decided to go with TWU since the clinical site I got was the one I asked for. Truth be known, I would have loved to have gone to TCU only the site they offered me would require flight arrangements for visiting family.

Sorry, didn't mean to offend anyone. I was just conveying my personal viewpoint. I know that TWU has a very productive and renowned program that has been around for a while. I'm sure all programs are wonderful or wouldn't be accredited. Again, sorry if I offended anyone.

Yeah congrats on getting in to TCU. I have heard that it is a very easy shool compared to TWU. I have heard that TCU is a breeze compared to TWU. I am currently in my second semester at TWU. Just kidding about the breeze part!!:chuckle I am at TWU, and I know that there has been some "bantering" back and forth. I feel that some friendly competition is ok but much beyond that is uncalled for. I thought that I left all that behind when I left the ICU. After all we are all going through the same thing, and we have to hang together. Anyway I am not accusing you jbro. I just happened to notice this post from this prospective TCU student. So once again congrats! I'm sure you will love TCU. I have never been on campus but it seems nice. Although I am at TWU and the campus here is less stellar.
