Has anyone had the experience of having a baby while in school? This is more directed to guys whose wives have had a baby while in school. My wife and I would like to have our first child but I don't finish school until May of 07 and she is worried about her age at that time....any help (not with conceiving) or comments would be appreciated.

Two men who graduated several years ahead of me at my hospital both had children while in the program (or rather, their wives did). Actually, one had two children while in the program. They both did fine...uncomplicated pregnancies. Our program was accomodating - the two guys saved up their days off so they could take a week off when the baby fianlly came. See how flexible your program is, and if they will allow you to take a few days off to spend with your wife and new baby. Good luck to you!

hey - i'm just finishing semester 2 of 7 and my wife is 4 months pregnant. we have a 2 yr old already - and i have to say that pregnancy was very difficult. she was on bedrest for about 5 months and a T-pump (terbutaline)! boy was that fun. so far things this time are better but...
