I guess the title says it all. It doesn't matter whate state it is...I'm also looking for hospitals that have ICU/CCU New RN Residencies.

Thanks.

Regions Hospital in Minnesota. Im telling you now because for some reason I was not even selected for an interview so I dont care about competition anymore hahaha

Specializes in ICU, ER.

Are you interested in moving to Ontario? My hospital hires new grads into the ICU (which is a general med-surg/cardiac ICU).

I live literally on the border with NY. It takes approx. 5 min (including border time) to get to the US...

Specializes in Critical Care, Pediatric.

The hospital in which I work hires new grads into a 22-week long "RN Residency." It's amazing! It's a pediatric teaching hospital (Magnet status). Send me a PM if you're interested in more information.

Specializes in Cardiothoracic.

If a nurse residency program is what you are looking for, then your best bet is to go ahead and look for a Magnet Hospital that is also a teaching hospital. These hospital's sometimes have programs specific to just new grads and then the unit will have an extensive orientation program both in and out of the classroom that can fit any learning style.

Also, if there is a specific hospital you want to work at that doesn't take new grads into their CVICU you can always start on the Step Down unit and work your way up. It's a great way to get your foot in the door at big teaching hospitals.
