    I am an occupational health nurse and will be interviewing for a position as a case management nurse with the responsibilities of core measure data abstraction and utilization review. Does anyone out there have experience in these areas? I sure would like to know what to expect!

    I assume this is hospital based.. it sounds like a face in chart / computer screen review admissions for medical necessity against Interqual or Milliman and while you are in there do the QI review for core measures job. The big variable is: what do they want you to do when criteria or quality is not being met?

    In my opinion the question is, do you want to not see patients, and just work with computers, charts and data? That is what this would entail.
