Could anyone help me out with the outlook of Case Management positions in Ohio. I am in Southeastern Ohio. Next to the WV border. Have worked the past 5 years with WV Workers Comp. That has dried up. I got a list of MCO's for Ohio. So far all that I have contacted say they aren't hiring home based CM's. I am about 2 hours south of Columbus. Almost tooooo far to drive for an office job (unless I get real hungry). Do any of the office based CM jobs offer 10 or 12 hours (the possibility of staying 3 days per week away from home might be workable). I'm a BSN, CCM, CDMS.
Thanks

Wow you consider moving? What about carestar in southern ohio? They have homebased positons? You have to see clients though for the open and yearly.

renerian, thanks for the imput.
I can't relocate, but I may consider driving to Columbus, especially if I could get longer hours with less days to work.
What type of CM do you do?
(I'm new to this board,,,,hope I am replying correctly)

I would check with the voc rehab providers in the state. SE Ohio is an underserved area and I would think you could sign on with one of them for a home based position. Good Luck!
I did home health case management. Check with carestar again as they had another ad in the columbus paper. I agree with the previous post as that area needs people bad. Did you try monster, flipdog and yahoo jobs?

You might try Genesis hospital in Zanesville. It's a shorter drive from Wheeling to Zanesville than it would be to Columbus. I work in Cambridge. Good luck with your job search!
