HELP -- taking the CCM exam on April 26, 2008 - to those who've already taken the exam --- are there calculations on the exam??
Did anyone use the Linton exam questions on http://www.casemanagerexam.com? Were they helpful?

Is there a big difference between the Case Manager's Handbook 2nd Edition vs the 3rd Edition?
Price wise there is a bit of a difference and I was wondering which edition you all used to study.

I took the exam in October 2007 and passed the first time. Asking about Linton Hutchinson at casemangerexam.com that is the most awesome program. You can pay for a week or a few days, I paid for a week and it was right on target when I opened up the first exam booklet. If you can do this program, do it! You just have a few more days and it will be worth the expense, I promise you. Also the latest version of the CMSA core curriculum guidelines was helpful, as well. Very helpful
Good luck to all that are taking it this month. :nuke:
I sit for the CCM exam tomorrow morning. Wish me luck
I pray you do well. Remember to not waste a lot of time on those you are unsure of, put a mark by them and go on finish - then come back. Take some deep breaths, relax, you know it, look at the question once for the words and the second time interpret the meaning and answer that question. You know you know it! Get some rest tonight and get up early, don't drag a book with you like some that I saw in October, leave it at home. You can do it!
Whew !!! what a load off my mind.
The CCM exam is OVER!! I have mixed feelings. I took it with 2 coworkers and we were feeling kind off good after the AM session -- but then the PM session kicked our butts! There was nothing on Medicaid , almost nothing on Medicare - what a waste of time studying that stuff - now just 8-10 weeks until I know if I passed.
Well just be encouraged! That is the way I felt, the morning part was a breeze and I felt I got out of there too quickly and the evening was like,"Is this the same test." But evidently it was ok, because I did past the first time. It was 4 of us and 2 passed and 2 did not. So I don't know. But relax and don't think about it for the next 8 weeks, what is done is done and hope for the best.

My friend wants to sit for the CCM exam, but is afraid that a disciplinary action on her license will cause her application to be denied. Does anyone know how this would affect her application approval?? Please help with this because she is worried sick about it. thanks, all.
First of all your friend needs to go directly to the state board to see what is on her license. That way she would be prepared and not blindsided. Then go to the CCMC website and read carefully what their qualifications are for sitting for the exam. I would hate to say yes you can or no you cannot, that is a decision only the administrative staff at the CCMC can answer.

Well Esmerelda have you all heard anything? I know it takes forever!
Thanks for your information. She is a great nurse and I hope that an error she made as a new nurse won't keep her from getting her CCM.
I will pass your reply along to her.
