World Canada CA Programs

After 3 years of university.. Almost 3 years of working fulltime... 2 years of night school upgrading courses.. And years of struggle...

I FINALLY GOT ACCEPTED INTO RPN NURSING!!!!!

It feels Soo good reading my offers. I heard back from two programs at Niagara college and I'm still waiting to hear back from George Brown and Sheridan!!

I only get a couple weeks to confirm so now the fun struggle of worrying about financing, where to live ( keep my apartment now and commute or move to a new city), jobs while in school, and which one to accept.

I also have an amazing boyfriend now who is willing to do the long distance thing with me and two bulldogs in the mix. A lot on my plate!

I was wondering if anyone has been accepted recently and which schools?

Anyone in Niagara region?

My program would be the Januaray 2014 start

So I still have some time but I would rather know my plan before I accept.

I'm just Soo happy to finally be in:)

Looking to meet anyone else who got accepted so far

Congrats!!! Thats great news. I just received my offer from Sheridan, but I am waiting to hear back from George Brown, Senecca, and Georgian. Due to the deadlines I will accept Sheridan and wait to see if I hear from the other schools. Have you started your pre-req's yet? I completed my police check but still need to do my immunizations and cpr/mask fit.

Thanks you too vwgirl55!! :)

I haven't heard yet from Sheridan or George Brown it still says " under consideration' I've been checking it religiously!

Good luck! Let me know when you hear. I'm going to do the same, accept Niagara and wait to hear from the others.

Which school is your first choice?

That's awesome you're on the ball! How much is a police check and how long does it take to come in?

I still need to do everything still :s

I did the pre-health program at George Brown and really enjoyed it, so they are my first choice. I have friends who also applied so I am hoping we all get in there :)

The police check was $45 and in Peel, they do it while you wait. I think I was there a few hours? It depends on the day and time you go. I had a friend go first thing in the morning and they were out within 1/2 hour. Look into it though, I heard in Toronto, they will mail it out to you and it takes a while.

At least now, since I have an offer, I know for sure I will be in the nursing program for Jan 2014, so I am going to start getting everything done :)

What about yourself? Have you decided where you really want to go?

Congrats! I also got accepted into the PN program at niagara college for January 2014 start.

This was the only school I applied at as I live in st.Catharines and I really don't want to commute much further than that!

I know a couple people who have taken this program at nc and they absolutely loved it and I have never heard anything negative about this program at niagara :)

Congrats guys! This is awesome!!

Hey guys!!

Sorry I haven't been online in a while. Too busy getting everything ready. I am moving next weekend!

I accepted my full-time offer to Niagara College Practical Nursing Jan 2014 start!!

I have all my pre-reqs, mailed in all my vaccination papers/labwork, Have my CPR HCP training completed, I asked about the criminal record check and they said not to get it now.. to wait until we start school they will give us the form THEN apply for the CRC.

I guess they want it to be the most accurate and Up-to-date.

So everything has fallen into place :)

I am moving next weekend out of my place to stay with my boyfriend to commute to Welland for the first little while until I can find a place and get settled in my new town.

FINALLY!!!! We did it :)

hard work does pay off!!

I also didn't know it was a fast track program which is AMAZING!!!

We go Jan -May 2 weeks off, April-Aug 2 weeks off then start in Sept 2014 with the Sept-Start nursing students and we will all graduate at the same time.

So that made my day when I heard that !! Anything to be done faster and one step closer to my dreams!!

CONGRATS LADIES!!!

Hey,

How did you find out about Niagara being a fast track program? That would be awesome! Congrats on getting everything done.

We pick our courses on Dec 5th at 7am , CAN'T WAIT!!!!

TeresaDane,

I was speaking to someone from the school trying to figure out my OSAP and she told me the breakdown of the program and I was like estatic freaking out because I had no idea!

Faster is always better, which means we will be working faster :)!

I am counting down the days until we can pick our courses.

Jan will be here before we know it!

FutureNurse18

That is awesome!!

I have a countdown on my computer for Dec 5th, it cannot come quick enough! Are you moving closer to the college or are you going to commute?

We should all be proud of ourselves!

TeresaDane,

I was planning on commuting for the first little while until I got settled, but my cars been giving me issues and I'm thinking about getting a place close to campus that I can walk to save money. So I have been looking at places near by. I may go sign on a lease next weekend :) I found a place that is cute, affordable and super close.

Do you live close by or do you have to commute?
