I recently got accepted to the PN program @centennial for Winter 2013. They recently sent me the list of supplies/books I will be needing for first semester. Should I buy the books before the first day of classes or wait until the first day to buy them then? :)

If you have the booklist already you should buy them the week before classes starts to avoid the line up. If you prefer buying used books they tend to be available the week before classes starts.

Hello Pinkfit94!
I will be entering the Winter 2013 Centennial College RPN too! I am so excited :) I received the book list as well but I think I will buy my books before classes start because I heard the bookstore on campus becomes extremely pack on the first day. I called the school and they told me all the books on the list is going to be needed so it makes sense to buy them earlier.
Hello smartway,
With exception of the books that need to be bought at centennial, I bought some of the books on amazon. Its a little bit cheaper, and its a great way to save a few bucks. I've already started to read them, and I'm already excited!

Hi toronto_nurse, I got accepted for the Flex RPN and I've already picked up my timetable. I just wanted to ask you when do they send a book list for Flex RPN students? I haven't got one and would like to buy mine before school starts. Thank you in advance.
Hello AshuM,
I got accepted into both the full time and flex rpn programs at centennial. The booklist was included in both acceptance packages that centennial sent me, I think it was a blue sheet.

Hi Pinkfit94. I never got the book list. The acceptance package i got had the acceptance letter and a hard paper of things to know plus steps to confirm my offer.
Hi Pinkfit94, I finally got the booklist. I emailed the health studies department yesterday and they have send me the booklist as an attachment to my email add today. I'm also going to buy some of the books online, for example the ANAT on McGraw-Hill website is $153.95 14bucks cheaper compared to the school bookstore!
I got my anat book on amazon for 140ish, amazon is a lot cheaper then the publisher and bookstore websites :)
You can search on the school's bookstore site to get an idea of what you need.

I know it says fall 2012 but its ok. Practical Nursing is under PNUR.
For Centennial if you take a browse at the bookstore and see used books grab them since most of them are in like-new shape. You can always ask the clerks at the bookstores which one you need since they have the list as well!
For the GNED 144 and PNUR 103 books do they have an online book also? do you require a code to obtain online resources associated with these courses? Just asking because I would like to buy used books they're way cheaper plus I bought ANAT book new from McGraw HIll it was cheaper there and it has a code that you can get access to their online book and other helpful resources for studying that course.
Thank You!
