Any benefits to a pre-health program to get into BscN?

Hey everyone,

I've been looking around for some answers and have been getting mixed responses. My situation is that I do not have 4U sciences or math. My ultimate goal is to get into a BscN at Ryerson (the collaborative program with George Brown and Centennial). I applied to George Brown for Pre-Health thinking that would make up for the missed courses in high school. But I am now thinking otherwise! A little frightened... Does anyone know if Ryerson would accept a pre-health certificate instead of the 4U courses? If not, would any other University?

update. Got conditional acceptance to Georgian college for the Bscn nursing. I am currently in there pre health and I like it.

Okay so I applied to a pre health program at Mohawk and you need Bio, Chem, English, and one 4U level math (i took data). If you dont have those you cant apply to the pre health program..at least at mohawk. from there if your marks are high enough you can go into nursing. The pre health doesnt replace your highschool marks it improves them so you can get into nursing. Hope this helps!

Hi I just had a question. I applied to practical nursing at centennial college and I did not get accepted to that but I got an alternative program to centennial for pre health. I didn't get accepted to any college for practical nursing this was the only choice for me so I accepted the alternative offer because I wanted to do practical nursing. Now after I accepted I hear bad things about it. A lot of people say it's a waste of time because it's highly competitive and you won't go into practical nursing. My plan after doing pre health is hopefully I do good and go to practical nursing then do a bridging program at any college to do my BSCN at either Ryerson or York. So is this a good path? I still have to pay my remaining tuition.
