Hi,Everyone

May I ask what courses belong to upper division general education course in cal state Fullerton? I got some information from cal state Fullerton official website, it says to graduate, 9 units upper division general education courses are required.I can not find answer from the website, Thanks so much, any answer is appreciated.

P.S. Is it required to take history class to graduate? This course is really hard.

Are you currently a student there? You should really be consulting your academic advisor about what classes you need to be taking and which classes satisfy certain graduation requirements.

No, Not yet. I HOPE I CAN transfer to that university. I have taken most of the GE courses, so I hope I KNOW what courses are upper division general education courses to avoid retaking in cal state university Fullerton. Thanks Squishy RN

It's upper division ge thus you cannot take it at a cc if that's where you are coming from. If you're transfer from state to state then you still need to see a counselor or get your hands on the upper ge e/f/g courses.

ok, Thanks for the information. I believe History is not a upper division course.

One more question, I AM applying to cal state Fullerton for RN-BSN program this summer and am taking courses in CC, May I ask will my GPA in Fall 2014 effect the possibility to enroll in CSUF ? or CSUF just count my GPA before Summer 2014?

There is no way to get around taking at least some upper division GE courses while attending CSUF. From CSUF's RN to BSN FAQs:

"What if an applicant has completed some upper division courses already?

In general, units taken at a four-year institution are accepted. However, all students are required to complete a minimum of 30 units in residence at CSUF (9 units minimum must be upper division general education).

In other words, you will need to take at least a minimum of 9 units (approximately 3 classes) upper division GE while in residence at CSUF, while the remaining 30 upper division units are likely to come from your nursing classes.

I believe they will factor into your GPA whatever classes are included in the transcripts you send them, but you should ask CSUF’s nursing office for the specific answer.
