I am currently taking chem and critical thinking at solano and those are my last prereqs.I just need to get an A in those classes and I'll have the 50 points for GPA. TEAS would be the next big thing on the list. I am just excited that I am almost done with all these other classes and I can apply already.

I really wish I took my TEAS at sac state :( i really regret not doing that because the wait is killing me! Applications are due by Monday and I don't know how I'll do that without my results.

I need at least a 88 or 89 on my TEAS, I got a C on ochem last summer so that really screwed up my GPA

Shouldn't you get your results tomorrow? And it just has to be postmarked by the 3rd, so just have everything else in the envelope ready to go except write in your score and pop in the print out :) Make sure to send it certified mail- it'll make you feel better having proof you sent it!

"Copy of highest TEAS score (any version is accepted). If you took the TEAS at Sacramento State, an unofficial printout is acceptable. If you took the TEAS at another institution, you must also purchase an official transcript from ATI, http://www.atitesting.com. ATI will submit transcript by e-mail directly to the School of Nursing usually within a few business days. The last day to take the TEAS is October 1. For those of you taking the TEAS close to the October 1 deadline, please list highest score to-date on your application and write “retaking and the test date” above your highest score todate."

So as long as you buy the official transcript, you should be good. And if you don't like your score, sign up right away for another test date and write retaking and that date like it says :)

I just got my score :( i got a 68! I am so shocked!!!!!! I studied day and night for that exam. I think it was unfairly difficult or maybe I just had the different form. Well I guess I will have to re take it and apply next semester. But good luck Nicole, I hope you get in :)

The reading part totally screwed me over and so did the english. I really though those would be easy because I am really good in reading and english...i just don't know what happened here.

Aww I'm sorry :( You can still give it another go for this semester if you write retaking and the date on the application? How wad the science section for you?

If I do that, what date would I need to retake it by? The science was okay. There were many questions about research that just threw me off. Apparently the ATI manual doesn't go over that in much detail. I had two questions about calculating MOLE, and I totally didn't study that because it was nowhere in the manual. I did really good in the life science biology section. I did really good in math as well. Reading was complicated and I pretty much had to zoom though it because I ran out of time. If I can't do it this semester then I will just retake it in feb and apply for fall.

I don't know exactly, but probably sometime this month maybe or very early Nov? I'd say email them, but there isn't really time for them to reply. You'd have to pick a date by tomorrow though, so you can write it on the app. If you have a spare $55 for the teas, maybe you could sign up for one late this month, and email them after you send your app, but if you find out that's too late for some reason, you could skip it and give yourself more time to study if you need to. It just depends on if you are in a rush or not to get into the program.

Although Sac takes the highest of your 1st three tries, most other schools only allow 2, so the next time you take it could be your last chance for most other programs. Because of that, you'd probably want to take your time studying and make it count. At least now you know some things to brush up on, and you can buy practice test or whatnot and raise your score whenever is the next time you take it.

I just looked it up on their website and it says that they want all the results in by oct 15 at the latest for the TEAS. I think I'll just wait until next semester. I am very upset but I think waiting would be better for me. I'll have five months to brush up on everything and that should be plenty of time :) thank you for all your help!! Not everyone is kind enough to offer such great advice especially if they are applying to the same school, so I really appreciate all your help :) please keep me updated and let me know how it goes. I wish you the very best!
